THE WORD IS OUT ABOUT YOUR SCAM: Nobody is going to fall for those scams where they get bogus "certified" checks by buyers offering a lot more than what the seller's car is really worth! The banks, the federal authorities, and our members are aware of your schemes. GO AWAY CRIMINALS!
SELLERS: Be wary of "buyers" offering you a lot more than what your car or part is really worth. If you receive a certified check from a buyer, especially an international buyer, be sure you have your bank verify and double-verify its accuracy before you ship your car or part to the buyer. I even had three of these scammers offer me money for an old TR6 engine that I was giving away and had clearly marked as FREE in the ad on this page.

In excellent condition. The car underwent a major restoration 10 years ago and since has been garaged and covered. It has been driven no more than 500 miles since the restoration which included a complete overhaul of the motor, cylinders were bored and fitted with new oversize pistons, as well as new camshaft, bearings, and valves. The SU carburetors were rebuilt. A rebuilt transmission with overdrive was installed. New brakes, clutch, exhaust, gas tank and fuel lines, electronic fuel pump were just some of the items installed. The car was repainted, air conditioning with an upgraded radiator fan and an electric Spal fan was added. Chrome and stainless wire wheels were added as well as new Pirelli P4000 tires. The interior was redone with leather seats and side panels, a new dash and new carpet was installed. I have receipts in excess of $25,000 for parts and work done on the car. My asking price is $10,000. I’ve attached a recent (last week) picture and I have many more.

I have decided to sell my 1960 Nash/AMC Metropolitan. Only about 100,000 were built over a six year period. The car was built in Abingdon, England for AMC. It has a 1500 MG engine and mostly British parts. All parts are readily available. I have cranked the engine and driven the car but, the engine is weak. I have installed many new or re-built parts. It could be a fun show/drive car at a reasonable price. I will give details and more photos to anyone whois interested. Price is $2250.00.
