    ...ATTENTION: SCAM ARTIST CRIMINALS...

THE WORD IS OUT ABOUT YOUR SCAM: Nobody is going to fall for those scams where they get bogus "certified" checks by buyers offering a lot more than what the seller's car is really worth! The banks, the federal authorities, and our members are aware of your schemes. GO AWAY CRIMINALS!

SELLERS: Be wary of "buyers" offering you a lot more than what your car or part is really worth. If you receive a certified check from a buyer, especially an international buyer, be sure you have your bank verify and double-verify its accuracy before you ship your car or part to the buyer. I even had three of these scammers offer me money for an old TR6 engine that I was giving away and had clearly marked as FREE in the ad on this page.

Here is an example of one of these scams and an explanation of how they work including links to US Federal agencies:

    1961 Morris Minor Traveller

I am selling a beautiful 1961 Morris Minor 1000Traveller which I have restored. I have restored and sold about 15 Morris Minors. I am the La Rep. of the Morris Minor Registry. The Morris I am selling has been improved with a larger engine- 1275cc, and a 5 speed gearbox. Disc brakes have also been added. Everything works. The car will cruise at 75-80mph. The car has "trafficator" signal flags that emerge from the side pillars, and really work! They are a crowd pleaser! Everyone loves a Morris Minor Traveller. It is a smile machine, and the only car that I restore. I had the green Morris Minor Traveller at the New Orleans British Car Day. I usually sell my Travellers for 14K, but the 1275, 5 speed and disc brakes make this car a super daily driver, suitable for the interstate. I am offering this car for $16K. Thank you.
