1977 Triumph Spitfire 1500 |
Owners:Mike & Cherie Japp. Mike has owned this Spitfire since 1981 as his first car during high school. Received 2nd place at Montgomery British Car show 2003, 3rd place at PBCA British Car shows April 2002 & 2001 and New Orleans British Car Day 2002 & 2008. Has been driven to car shows in New Orleans, Panama City, and Tallahassee for over 1300 miles driven during 2001. Restoration pictures on his personal website. Both of Mike's Spitfires are on the cover of the current issue of "Triumph Spitfire & GT6" magazine! Mike wrote an article about the national Spitfire club having an event during PBCA's 2008 show and included photos taken by the magazine editor of our Spitfires next to a Blue Angels F/A-18 at the National Museum of Naval Aviation, NAS Pensacola (Summer 2008).  | 1966 Triumph 2000 Mk1 Saloon | Owners:Mike & Cherie Japp. Mike brought home this "Family Triumph" in 2004 from Atlanta for his wife and baby since the Spitfire is a 2-seater. It has been driven to many VTR shows and won 3rd place in the year 2000 "Damn The Torpedoes Race" in Georgia. More pictures of this car are on his personal website. I have thought about selling this car because I have no time to restore it and it doesn't deserve to be sitting in my shop collecting dust when somebody could be getting it back on the road. Plans for this car are to give it to my niece in a few years when she graduates from high school IF she gets the grades. So I will have fun with this Spitfire until then.  | 1959 Triumph TR3 | Owners:Dick & Mitzi Maddux. Won 2nd place at the PBCA 2002 Beach Bash and Tied for 3rd place at the PBCA 2001 Beach Bash. (picture) This car was damaged by Hurricane Ivan in 2004 along with the Maddux airplane and the hanagar that housed them. The TR3 and the hangar are being rebuilt.
