THE PANHANDLE BRITISH CAR ASSOCIATION presents our 21st Pensacola British Car Show on April 20th, 2013, to be held at a park bordered by 9th Ave, E Salamanca St and E Colfax, just three blocks off Bayfront Parkway in Pensacola, near the "Wall South" Vietnam Veteran's Memorial, and only a few feet from the beautiful waters of the Gulf of Mexico. A lovely vacation or weekend paradise only walking distance to restaurants and shopping in the historic downtown Pensacola area. (This is our same location since 2008.)

For early arrivals the PROTOADS* will again offer a "Red Beans and Rice" Social from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm Friday, April 19th, at the show site under a large tent.. Registration is open Friday night and from 8:00 am to 12pm Noon on Saturday. (* Procrastinating Triumph Owners And Driving Society)

Judging is by "People's Choice". Each vehicle entered will receive a ballot and dash plaque placed in the car at noon. Voting closes at 2:00 pm and awards are at 3:30pm. There were approximately 24 classes in past years and classes were determined by entries received for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place trophies. There also are several special awards and some surprise awards. This is not a "concours" show, but a chance for British car lovers to get together, display their cars and have a good time. Any car can go home with a trophy. So bring your British "ride" this year and enjoy the camaraderie.

Outline of Friday 4/19/2013 events: Beginning at 9:00 AM we will have a self guided driving tour of Pensacola. It will start at the show site (Colfax St between South 9th and 10th Avenues). The tour will take you about an hour to complete and you will arrive at Naval Air Station Pensacola’s Naval Aviation Museum. http://www.navalaviationmuseum.org Across the side street from the museum at historic Fort Barrancas, PBCA’s own Dr. Richard Lewis will, beginning at 10:30 AM, host a guided tour of the Fort. He will discuss the history surrounding Pensacola and the Forts. http://www.nps.gov/guis/planyourvisit/fort-barrancas.htm After the the Fort visit plan to eat at the museum café, a recreation of the “Cubi Bay Club” and/or spend your time in the National Naval Aviation Museum. They have shopping, IMAX theaters, simulators and displays featuring the “Blue Angels” It is one of the finest aviation museums in the world - some say only the Air and Space Smithsonian in DC is better. Between 3 and 5 PM we are invited to Henry Hensel’s home to enjoy his displays of Americana, art, decorations, architecture, automobiles and amazing collections. This is the second year Henry has opened his home to our visitors and everyone enjoys this stop. (American Picker’s would call his home a ”honey hole” but without the rust and dust). No later than 5 PM we leave Henry’s to return to the show site for our Welcome Party , Red Beans and Rice Dinner that begins at 6 PM. For our guest’s staying on the Beach you may want to tear yourselves away a little sooner. If you plan on a shower and change of clothes, the spring beach traffic can be heavy later in the evening. 6 pm until... The welcome party and dinner, held this year at the show site under a large tent! For our late arrivals - you can come by the show site until 3 PM and get the driving tour instructions and “join in progress” and for our non-aviation / beach-goers, you can head back to the beach even sooner and rejoin us at Henry’s or at the show site for the welcome party. All options are great excuses to drive and enjoy our British cars and beautiful Panhandle.

Outline of Saturday 4/20/2013 events: 8:00 AM - Show site opens to show participants (Set-up is taking place before 8am & volunteers will have photos taken of their cars.) 10:00 AM - Swap Meet Begins. See the rules. 12:00 PM - Registration closes and ballots are placed in each car for voting. 2:00 PM - All ballots should be turned in; voting ends. after 2 PM - Valve cover racing OR Live Music 3:30 PM - Awards presentation 6:00 PM - Meet for dinner at local restaurant (announced at the show)

We will have dusk to dawn professional security at the motel parking lot both Friday and Saturday nights.
